The body, the bike, working in unison as one efficient machine. Miles pass by without notice...
Ever have that sense of being able to ride forever?
I have. Not to say I could, because that 'forever' pill hasn't been developed yet– but sometimes, it sure feels like it. Even though I'm compelled by a deep rooted sensation of wanderlust, I've fallen short of actually doing it. But I often wonder where I'd end up; some far off out-of-the-way locale, riding until the sun sets, then sharing beers with the natives would be my guess.
Documentaries such as Ride The Divide and Inspired to Ride have put some strange ideas in my head lately. Granted those are races, but I love the idea of being able to take a few weeks/month off to just pick a direction and go. Life defining for sure.
It's so easy to get lost in the thought of spinning away when I'm sitting behind a desk punching out ones and zeroes. And the more i contemplate it, the more I feel I need to do this at some point. I owe it to myself.
So. The question is, if you had the time, where would forever take you?
